Recognized throughout the country as one of the Midwest's most historic musical organizations, the DeKalb Municipal Band will hold the 2011 concert season at Hopkins Park under the musical direction of Dee Palmer. A special "Pops Concert" and fireworks show on the Fourth of July. Concert is free and open to the public. Bring chairs, blankets, food & beverage.

6/26/2011 Peterson Farm downtown Mchenry, McCullom lake road, off of route 31 Maureen Christine, Michael Bazan and pianist Mike Potts will present musical entertainment from 12:15 - 2:15 at Peterson Park - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, FREE, celebrating 175 years! Come early for an all-day family event recreating agricultural and family life significant to the history of Petersen Farm. Hayrides, cooking demonstrations, farm animals, crop information, period games and much more will take place. Costumed historians, talking to visitors and demonstrating the science and art of early farming, will be part of a fun-filled day. Located north of downtown McHenry on McCullom Lake Road, in Mchenry, off of route 31.
